How do you create a TIMER in your video, that tics each second as your video plays? Is this possible?

I want to know if it's possible to place a timer onscreen? If not, how is this done or possible? And is it possible to make a counter that goes from 0 and up? Like hit a button and the counter number increases?

You can apply a system stamp that displays the time, date, of both. This is baked into the recording and cannot be edited. It also starts when you start recording and cannot be changed.

See Image below, click to enlarge.

A better option might be to get an on screen timer that you can display and control while you are recording?
There is no timer feature in the Camtasia editor that can add a timer while editing.
Neither of these techniques are Ideal in my opinion, but they could work.

Thanks so much! That does give me some idea. I was trying to figure out how Cinemasins does his timer.

Joe - Thanks for posting.

With Word Wrap enabled, is there anyway to invoke a new line to force a second line?

Probably best bet is to download and install something like TimeLeft.

That one seems helpful. I'm gonna have to try that one out. I can minimize that yellow timer and place it wherever I want? That's what I'm looking for.

Ah, I'd have to make an individual callout and group them together.

I like that one also. You could make a nice long timer if you want and the 1 second call outs would maintain accuracy.

Thanks. I was trying to figure out how Cinemasins does his timer for his videos. I'll check them out.
