How Do You People Use this? Video Lag Pre and Post production

I am having a major issue with camtasia. Now the issue either lies with the screen recorder or the studio 8. I don't use camtasia to edit videos its just too buggy i gave up on it long ago. I only use Adobe premiere but im working on a project right now that requires me to record my screen something i rarely need to do. I own 8 for this exact purpose but it will not run properly.

Im trying to record my screen while on google earth and get a smooth movement but either recorder or the editor is making it choppy/laggy. The clip is less than 30 seconds long, smaller than 1920 x 1080 and its choppy in the editor and after rendering. The clip is fast moving but not that fast

Don't take this as bragging im just giving you PC specs to help understand the situation. My job is in marketing i design video and promotional videos for clients so i have a very powerful computer at all times so i HIGHLY doubt its my PC. its windows 10 It has an i9 7900X with 64Gigs of ram and two 1080 ti's.

Ive tried everything, moving Camtasia to the SSD, stupid little "tips" on youtube, GPU acceleration. Even took one of the cards out to make sure it wasn't that. I know 8 is 32bit but come on it should be able to do this simple very small project. something has to be wrong. I can edit 4k resolution video in premiere with no issues and i can't record my screen with this? How do you guys get anything done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I’ve created hundreds of stable 1-5 minute clips using Camtasia versions 2 thru 9. Theses are for a desk top app and browser based apps. None of it is very heavy lifting unto itself. You have a fast box so I tend to think the issue is the smooth rapid delivery from Google Earth in your browser or the lack of it. I’d suggest recording something a little demanding just to prove to yourself where the issue lies. Try recording with different browser to see if it makes a difference.

Others may chime in with helpful settings changes or approaches that could prove helpful to you.

Gave up and just downloaded OBS and it worked fine. It has to be frame rate. I have a strong feeling camtasia locks at 30fps...
