How to add .mp4 file to Google Analytics

I now have all my videos available to play on my website. I have also added the Google Analytics tracking ID to all _player.html files, which means they are being tracked. But what I also want to do is show the .mp4 file on the site, unfortunately, this isn't tracked by GA and I am not sure how to implement it....... The reason for showing the videos directly on my site and not e.g. via YouTube is to increase users to the site, thus improving Google ranking and general SEO.
How do I get GA to track the .mp4 player?

There is a separate sitemap for videos that Google uses. If a video is embedded (via Iframe) Google usually ignores this. The sitemap listings are built within the <url> ... </url> XML parameters on an xml file. See https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/80471?hl=en

Most sitemap generators miss these altogether so would need to create a separate video sitemap, point to it in your robots.txt file and put it at the root of your web site, Using Google tag manager is also important to tell Google what to do with the video sitemap. Your robots file would look like this:

User-agent: *
Allow: /
Disallow: /App_Code/
Disallow: /App_Data/
Disallow: /bin/
Disallow: /bootstrap3/
Disallow: /Scripts/
Disallow: /Views/
sitemap:https://www.abc.com/sitemap.xml
sitemap:https://www.abc.com/abc-com-video-sitemap.xml

Are there any sitemap templates from Camtasia that could be filled in?
