How to adjust line spacing in Text Callout

I don't see an option to adjust the line spacing between lines of text in a Text Callout. Is it possible without having to create individual single line Text callouts and space them accordingly?

Hi there

Near as I can tell this simply isn't an option.

If you are trying to increase the space a bit you are able to type a few spaces on a line of its own, then select the line and adjust the font size.

Not quite as clean as just adjusting the spacing overall but maybe simpler than inserting repeated callouts.

Cheers... Rick :)

The adjustment is called Leading.
Leading / pronounced ledding – as in lead, the metal. In this case, lead is referring to the strips of lead once used to create space between lines of text in the days of mechanical typesetting.

Unfortunately,Camtasia's text tools don't have that capability.

And we continue to refer to it as Leading because?

Much has changed since the days of Johannes Gutenberg. LOL

And lest you think I'm too serious. I'm just having some fun. ;)

Actually, I need to decrease the leading. Guess I'll have to stick to After Effects for this project.
Geez....550 year old functionality, and it still hasn't made it into Camtasia's 9th iteration. I was hoping

Camtasia text tools are very poor Steven. Don't get me wrong, I love the version 9, it has many amazing things, but text tools are very poor. I was talking directly, via webcam with Troy, the Camtasia Product Manager, last june, and I explained him that justification, is very important. To be honest, I don't remember right now if I mentioned line spacing, but it is also, very important.
THE WRONG IDEA THAT A VIDEO EDITOR LIKE CAMTASIA, ONLY DO TITLES.
No, no, and no. That is completely wrong.
Camtasia is about product presentations, and sooner or later you have to go beyond the typical headline.
In some moment of the presentation you will have to add a paragraph, and then... we start with the problems.
We need a serious format.
And for that, we need justification, line spacing (as Steven said) and also kerning and tracking.
I only can suggest that all people thinking Camtasia must improve the text tools, post constantly these features, with the hope, the people there in Camtasia, finally be able to see how important is this.
I am pretty sure they even did not ask the customers about if Justification or line spacing is important, if so, we would have those features already.
Let's pray together to see'em in Camtasia 9.1
Cheers

You can adjust the "padding" in the Advanced editing for the callout, but it simply doesn't go as small as I'd like it to go. Even at zero, I still have a ton of space around the callout text.  Too much padding above and below my text. This is set to 0 padding.

Assuming you still use techsmith snagit did you ever get an answer from them?
So much for trying to do professional output using techsmith.
They recently admitted they use third party programs for camtasia!  Sad.

Hello Soph Marx,

I don't know why the new callouts are like that. The legacy callouts are what you want for tight padding.

Ok, maybe it's the same for Snagit Editor. I meant to post to Snagit editor. I don't see any legacy there.  Maybe I need to post under Snagit. Thanks.

Similarly, I'm seeing my text in a call out strangely spacing out between letters on the right side of the box, no matter how it's aligned. When I'm editing the callout it's all shaped and fit as it should be, but clicking out of it, the text drags out and looks awful :/

PLEASE add the ability to edit the line spacing for text! The default line spacing is too large and wastes spaces. I end up creating each line as its own text to adjust the line spacing and its a waste of time when that feature can be easily added.
