I am using MS Exel and need to capture a complete RIBBON or just part of the ribbon. However, the ribbon disappears when I click on the red button to capture.

My first guess is that you have the  excel ribbon to auto-collapse.

I don't know what version of excel you are using. I'm using version 16 -1812 and to keep the ribbon always open you need to pin it.

Click on the pin icon at the far right and the ribbon will stay visible.

Thanks for that ! I am using the MS Office 365 version that includes Excel. Does that make a difference?
