Hi there

How exactly are you producing the video? Is it just an MP4 or are you producing using the Smart Player?

If it's just the MP4, where are you seeing it where you dislike the poster frame? On your local hard drive? Or after uploading?

If it's your local hard drive, try inserting the image you want to use as the poster frame so it begins with the video and runs for five seconds and one frame.

If it's after uploading to something like YouTube or Vimeo or other, there is usually a way with those services to choose or even upload a desired image to use as the poster frame.

If you are producing using the Smart Player, choose Custom Production Settings. After you click the Next button a couple of times you should see the Smart Player Options. And if Pause at Start is enabled, you have a button there that allows you to choose a poster frame.

Cheers... Rick :)

This was asked a few days ago.

The post was for Camtasia 8 but it applies to Camtasia 9 also.
Maybe it will help.
