Produce as MP4 from HitFilm then import into Camtasia?

Out of curiosity, what are you planning on doing using Camtasia that you can't do in HitFilm?

Cheers... Rick :)

The HitFilm takes too long to export and when it does it fails at 98% and I wasted over 24 hours trying to make it work.

Sorry to hear that.

It's been my own experience that each video editor has its own proprietary source file format to manage what you work on. I stand to be corrected on this, but my own guess is that you will be very unlikely to find an application that will just open a HitFilm project file and allow you to continue.

Camtasia allows producing just a desired part of an overall project to a video format. It's possible that HitFilm offers the same. So my thought is that you could perhaps use HitFilm to produce out multiple videos, then you could perhaps string them together again in HitFilm and produce the larger video. Or you could bring the smaller chunks into Camtasia and accomplish the same thing.

Hopefully others will pop in with different ideas to help you solve it.

Best of luck to you! Rick :)

can you play the video in HitFilm?

if so, perhaps play it while recapturing it with Camtasia Recorder; then use that new trec capture in Camtasia to do editing
