How to Copy & Paste from Snagit 13 to Evernote?

I use Snagit daily, and keep all my notes in Evernote.

I could have sworn this worked in an earlier version, but when I copy and paste a screen capture from Snagit Editor 13.1.7 into Evernote, I get an icon for a broken box.

Screen capture:  https://www.screencast.com/t/gLKBQHa2yRkX

What happens when I paste it:  https://www.screencast.com/t/4OykRF8D2gQ

I believe I read somewhere it is about image types & Windows, but I'm just not sure.  Right now I have to copy from Snagit Editor to Microsoft Word, then Microsoft Word to Evernote.

Any thoughts?  Do I have to change an image type (how the image is captured, not saved), etc.?

Thanks!

Well, after I posted, the forum found some suggestions.  Looking at this post:
https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/114029-png-image-paste-failure/

In my image capture, there was an effects setting (a drop shadow).

I went into the settings and disabled the effects, and voila, I can copy & paste again.

Here is where the effects were set, and where I disabled it:

... just in case anyone runs into the same issue.

I'm having the same problem with Snagit 2020, plus this no longer works because Snagit changed the preferences:

https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/114029-png-image-paste-failure/

The solution to the problem in previous versions of Snagit seemed to be:
Basically:

  1. Open Snagit.
  2. Select Edit > Editor Preferences > Outputs.
  3. Click Clipboard and select Disable image transparency on clipboard.
  4. Click OK.

How do I do that now?
