How to create a diagonal ellipse

I can take an ellipse shape and draw it horizontally and vertically. How do I draw one Diagonally? When I attempt to draw one diagonally it becomes a circle. In the attached graphic, the word Science is in the grid starting at the top left corner and going diagonally down and to the right. I want to encircle it with an ellipse.

Thank you.

Make your ellipse with the oval shape and then use the rotate handle to turn it diagonally.

It helps to turn off canvas snapping to make it easier to position it.

If you have a steady hand/mouse you could also use the pen tool and draw it.

Super. I had my shape too close to the top and the handle didn't appear. Thanks so much.

Do you know of a way to widen the ends so they're more rounded like the attached image?

This elementary request is raised periodically (sorry couldn't resist.)

Presumably, you created the ellipse by shrinking the circle shape.  If you want a lozenge instead, try playing with the various callout shapes instead. but you may struggle to get exactly what you want because there is no control over the degree of radius.

The radius can be changed using the Yellow Diamond that appears when the shape is selected.

Sliding it towards the center gives you the tightest bend.
I discovered a bug.If you change the color. The radius resets its lowest circumference.
I'm going to open a ticket.

The shape you must use is the Rounded Rectangle.
