This link from three years ago explains how to create a old-time movie effect. Obviously, it's a pre-Camtasia 9 solution. How can I do it in 9? I don't see an option to produce as an mov.
You would make your film black and white with the color adjustment tool. Do a Google search for "old film look paper texture" for b-roll and put it on the top track and change the opacity. Here is an example I did way back when. I used Photoshop at the time because Camtasia 8 did not do black and white, but now that you can with the Color Adjustment feature... I will do what i did in Photoshop in Camtasia. Here is an example of what I did with the "old film look paper texture" b-roll I found online. You simply change the opacity of the old film b-roll in order to see the track below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59Schw_7D5s
Hello, I downloaded this vintage overlay and then had to record it because Camtasia couldn't open a M4v file. You could search YouTube for a vintage overlay and record it for your overlay, then add it on the track above. Play with the opacity and visual effects on your video and overlay tracks until you get the look you want. Here are the links to the files I used for my final example.
