How to create custom animated callout/pointer from scratch

I know about Camtasia 9 behaviours and pre-made lower thirds in the library but i want to make animations for callouts and objects from scratch. I want to make a callout that slides in as if from the screen itself and slide into the screen again and disappear rather than fly off the screen. Also want to make an arrow appear like the video below.

Watch from 0:37 to 0:44 for the examples.

Thank you for help in advance.

How about placing an object like a circle on the body and then transitioning text and a line in using slide left or Gradient wipe transition (if going right). Group the items and then move the group in line with the body. Remove by reversing the process (ie Gradient wipe/slide left)

I hadn't thought of using a gradient wipe transition. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try it out.
