How to create my own templates?

Hi there,

I see lots of online places offering templates for camtasia (particularly ones offering extra templates with the upgrade to V9).

I am wondering:

1. What are these templates being offered?
(i.e. are they just effects like kinetic type that people have created and then "added to the library")

2. Can I create my own templates like these and if so, how?

Any guidance would be handy.

Cheers

Hi Sharyn,

Yes to both.

If you create something on the timeline, you can Select all of the assets, then right-click on the selection and choose Add Timeline Selection to Library. This will group whatever is selected and put it in your Library.

You can also choose it from the Edit menu: Add To Library

Or use CTRL-SHIFT-A

Hope that helps!

Hi Lon,
thanks for the response.
So, if I understand what you are saying correctly:
To be able to give someone else my animation, I create the animation, save it to the library and then export it and it will create a .libzip file to be imported into another library?
Would that be right?

Correct.
