How edit the text on a callout without having to see it on the canvas? Mine are off-screen and I can't see the text unless I move it them onto the canvas?

make a safe backup of your project, then ...

open the tscproj file with a text editor, like Notepad++

use the find dialog control to locate the current text string that is in the callout

edit the text you locate

depending on the type of callout, results will vary; if you shorten the text, generally no issue; if you try to lengthen the text, it may no longer fit within the callout; then, you will have to select the callout somehow and manually resize it to fit the new text

I've edited callouts text this way, thousands of time, with excellent results, the extend/resize thing notwithstanding

when finished editing in the text editor, save, then reload the project in Camtasia; you should see you changes have been implimented

I don't understand the question.
These callout must animate into the canvas area and become visible at some point in the video.Right?

Why can't you just move the playhead to that point in the video and change the text while its visible?
