How to edit the properties of a callout, not a style.

I managed to create a style in my company colours but, the callouts are not exactly like I need them to be. Some needs transparant inner with coloured border and some needs a bigger border on the actual callout. I've been on the help files and google with no luck and hope someone can help. I just bough the 2018 version.  I include a screenshot of what I want to do.

I'm not sure of the actual effect you're trying to achieve but the Advanced section of the Tools properties let's you configure everything about the callout that you added. This includes the colour inside the callout as well as transparency. You can also set the thickness of the outline. I attached a screenshot below of the section.

This is very important. Every capture always reset all properties of callout tool properties.
I'am using 2018.2.1

Unfortunately,
opacity effects everything at the same time. So you can achieve different levels of opacity. But the text will be faded as well.
The only way around this it is to place a separate text only callout, inside the other callout. You can group them together to make them easier to move around.Beyond that, I don't have any other suggestions.
