with a long video/audio track - is there a way to mark or tag certain spots to be able to find them easier? or do i have to write down the time on a post it note and then scroll ?
i may need to review certain places more than a few times, and i do not see a way to mark or tag a spot to come back to it later while working on it in the project

easiest way is to put a caption at those spots; then navigate to a spot using the captions tab UI

You could also try using markers, specifically media markers. Here's a short video tutorial that covers how to add and manage those: http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-camtasia-8-introduction-to-markers.html

markers worked great, i can also use them to make a table of contents. thanks josh. i tried captions too, they appear to work good for this too. have to zoom in or the box is a razor thin vertical line. the media markers are big and readable no matter the zoom level for the track. thank you all for the suggestions, very helpful!

We have to do that on our end, but I will gladly do so. I'm happy you found something that worked for you!
