How to modify size of video?

I would like to render a video so it will fit on to a standard 4.7 gb disc but the file is too large. I've removed the audio, cut it down in size and tried rendering it in a lower definition. Is there anything else I can do besides cutting it down in length even further?

You can do a custom production using Bit Rate rendering.
The lower the number, the smaller the file size. If you chose 250 as an example. The bit rate rendered should remain quite low.

Camtasia is not hard wired to hold to a constant bit rate. But you can  look at the other videos data rate and check the current values.
If you cut the current value in 1/2,you may get to where you want to be.At some point, the video quality will suffer significantly.

You'll have to make your own judgment call on this.I would render it at the highest quality you can get away with and still save it to disk.

Thank you Joe. This is exactly what I needed to know. Must save this to my notes! If I deleted the original recording can I go back and edit the video that I made that is too large?
