is audio going to be narration of the video using a microphone?

if so, set Recorder to record mic, but not to record system audio

Thanks for your reply. No, I just wear a microphone and record at the same time.  What setting causes an audio track to be separate?  It did not do that before the latest update.

I believe that record system is on by default when Camtasia installs; check in Recorder tools/options/input/audio to see if it's on; if so, turn it off

or, open the audio button on the Recorder UI; same options are available there

Thank you for sharing the video @kayakman . I liked how in camtasia 8 when mic audio was superimposed on the screen recording instead of the system audio.

The camtasia update has taken a step backward it seems as audio-video sync will be an issue there.

Before you say to group and edit tracks, let me tell you that it is a very unpleasant experience as audio waveform cannot be seen when tracks are grouped making it hard to edit.

There should have been an option to let users decide what audio they want to superimpose on video.
