Hey guys, so yesterday I installed the trial and started learning by working on it looking and trying to follow along with different tutorials but of course no tutorial will address every single issue so I will be posting here hoping you guys might be able to help me please?

In the above screenshot, I would like to know how to remove that rectangular box showing over the speaker and also if anyone can look at this short video here, 2nd one down on Thermal underwear: https://videoreviewlabs.com/amazon-product-videos/
I am attempting to create my first video like that one, just using speakers for my review video.

That box is the bounding box for the stage; you can't remove it. You also won't see that bounding box in the output.
In this particular situation, if you want to see the JBL logo, just bump the image up about 10 pixels.

Thanks. Well, I don;t understand the purpose of that box, it is showing like a flashlight over the image so kinda distracting but.....
Ok so next issues please

I would like the text as the video I linked to, without being in any sort of enclosure, with only the text showing. Also if I could have just a thin line similar to the one in the link from the text to the object would be great?

Maybe this will help you understand.
This is on a windows machine but should be the same for you.
You have three areas in the editor workspace.
Click on the Image to enlarge in a new tab

The lighter black (grey) area is the Editor Background (workspace)
Any content you have in this area Will Not show in your video.
The dark black area is the Canvas (outlined in yellow) is what Will show in your video.
The image of the orange is some content that will be in the video.
In your image above this post in appears you are zoomed in on the canvas.
Zoom out some on the canvas so you can see the editor background.
In Windows you do that with the mouse wheel.

To resize the video content (the orange) you can click and drag the resize handles.

You may have to hold the Shift key to lock/unlock the aspect ratio lock

Thank you very much for all of these efforts! Then yes as in my image, all that black space outside of the white background with the speaker is the Canvas. So if all is accurate now with this image below, I am not seeing where/how to color the text, can you advise please?

The red line above the speaker image, the speaker image and the two callouts will be in the video. The red box above the canvas with the word Editor will not be in the video. it's outside of the canvas.

As I mentioned I am on a Windows machine but to change the color of the text in say one of the callouts, with the callout selected (shows the grab handles and bounding box around it.
In the Properties panel on the right side click the text (a) icon and you can make the changes in that panel.
Change the color, font etc.

Thats how in Windows anyways :)

Something more that may help.
You can change the color of the Canvas.
Better match your project end result or to work with.
This where you would also change the canvas size.
Note: the color of the canvas Will show through any transparent content in your video.
So if you change the canvas to say yellow, anything that is transparent will show the yellow canvas behind it.
To change the canvas color (Windows) I'm sure there is probably the same option in Mac
Right-Click on the canvas and select "Project Settings"

In the popup window change the color.

A mockup of your image with the canvas as white

Hi there
Notice that at the corners of the image in that darkened grey area are little handles that you are able to click and drag. Click one of these and drag it toward the middle of the image. That should make the image smaller so it fits on the canvas. It looks like your image is super huge and simply needs to be scaled smaller.
Cheers... Rick :)

Rick, I notice that dragging the handles does not widen or increase the height of the image but rather act like a zoom function, it it the same on your end please?

Hi Winston
If you look at the image below (it's the first one you shared) you will see that there are three icons at the top of the screen. Edit, Pan, and Crop.

Make sure that the Edit icon has focus. If the crop icon is selected, you are effectively just choosing how much of the image appears. Basically what you see in the brighter area.
If the Edit icon is selected, you are choosing how large the image is on the canvas. And yes, it will appear to zoom in or out. But that brighter area is what will be visible once you render out the video.

To add to this.
If you just click and move the handles the image (by Camtasia default) has the ratio locked.
eg; the shape stays the same.
To temporarily unlock the ratio hold the Shift key and then click and move the handles.
Caution: that you can distort the image with ratio unlocked so you can't just make the image taller with out adding width also.
If you need to make a big size adjustment on a image it is best to do it in a image editor and bring it back into Camtasia.

If you happen to have SnagIt too, I find that it works really well for basic image editing.

Yes Rick, got it and thanks for teaching me the terminology of the various icons,
Nice Dubie, holding the shift key expands the image as mentioned, thanks!

As for the line, click it to ensure it has focus, then ensure the Properties panel is visible. Then adjust the thickness.
