How to save a quiz format to the library

I have specific settings and format for my quizzes in my videos. Can I save this format to the library so anyone can drag it to the timeline and use the quiz format? Also, I'm assuming I can save the specific rendering settings for videos with quizzes.

I saw a post in the community from 5 years ago, but the link is broken. It says something about clicking on the quiz line and it turns into a diamond, etc. It's not doing that for me. With all the black user interface, I can't see a thing if I'm supposed to see something change on the timeline.

You can create Custom Production settings.

As far as saving Quiz presets to the Library goes.I don't know.

so after I share this custom production, can I share it with someone? Do I export it or I have to export the project as a zip?

@kayakman Thanks for the info. I followed the steps in the video until 3:06 where I have to select the image and delete it and supposedly the quiz stays. Instead, the image AND the quiz get deleted. Am I missing something? I inserted an image as stated in the instructions, and imported the quiz I saved to the library at the playhead where the image was. It pastes it with the original image in the timeline, but how do I select the image only and leave the quiz?

See screenshot. Video is a bit unclear at the point where he does CTRL Q and then deletes the media. The quiz should stay but doesn't.

you need to reset the quiz as a timeline quiz before deleting its carrier media

that tutorial is old and a little out of date; sorry for confusion

here is a new, shorter, more to-the-point tutorial [CS9]

Hi Sophia

One way you might be able to accomplish saving the quiz stuff is to create a "template" project that has the quiz set up exactly as you want. Then save that project somewhere. As you create new projects, you would then begin by opening that template project. It should have all your quiz settings as you want. And the first action after opening would then be to perform a Save As.

If you choose to operate that way, I would think you would definitely want a pristine copy of the template project stored safely on a thumb drive or other similar location. The simple reason being that it's far too easy to just destroy the template by forgetting that crucial first step of saving as. Before you realize it, you just destroyed your template!

Cheers... Rick :)
