how to select and move everything on a track to the right or left of a split on the timeline on a Mac?

Hi -

The shortcuts for selecting from current position to the end or beginning of the timeline (Ctrl + Shift + End, and Ctrl + Shift + Home) does not work on my iMac (OS 10.11.6). Is there an alternative? I'm using Camtasia 2.10.6.

I want to be able to split and delete parts of clips and close the gaps by moving the clips that are on either the right or left of the gap.

Have you tried to Ripple Delete?

1) Delete a section to create a gap
2) Select the gap's range.
3) Right click in the range.
4) Select Ripple Delete.

This sounds like what you're looking for, but I could be confused.

Careful, though, sometimes the audio track doesn't like being too close to a ripple and cuts out a little around the edge.

I think the key commands for which you were looking are Option-Right Arrow and Option-Left Arrow.

Hi Casey, the Option-Right/Left Arrow command did the trick! Thanks!
