How to: snagit 2019 image capture directly into a new slide in powerpoint 2016

previous versions of SnagIt would allow me to set a preset which would capture the screen on my 2nd monitor, insert a new slide into my open powerpoint 2016 presentation and then paste the capture.

Using SnagIt 2019, all I am able to do is capture the screen and paste into whatever is the current slide in my powerpoint presentation.  This is after i have downloaded the latest powerpoint plugin from Techsmith.

Has the behavior changed or am I missing something?

You need to create a custom preset. Fixed region and select your second monitor as the preset.

I have 2 monitors. the one on the left is 2560 x 1440 the one on the right is 1920 x 1080.I used select region and selected the 1920 x 1080 monitor. You can see it reflected in the settings on the second monitor.

If I use that preset now.It captures my second monitor.

To add to Joe's post.

When you create your preset
Click on the little gear to set how the capture gets put in to PowerPoint.

IF sending to PowerPoint from the editor
Click the share button and then the down arrow next to the PowerPoint output
Then click options.

You can set how the PowerPoint output will send the capture to PowerPoint when
you click it.

THANKS to both!  I missed that other gear/setting, thinking it was just a repeat of the other gear/setting.

Got it working the way I want now!
