How to use Smartfocus without influencing Callouts

Hello together,

i have a question regarding the Smartfocus feature:

In my current *camrec-File, a failure message appears inside the video.

so I want to mask it by a white rectagle, thereforce i ́m using a callout which is working quite nice.

so far so good.

unfortunately, when i zoom into my *.camrec file via smartfocus, the callout is also zoomed in.
but i want to have it staying exactly at the same absolute position for hiding the failure message box.

it is an important issue to me since the failure is really ugly and it ́s really difficult to create the *.camrec again.

that ́s why i ́m asking in this board, maybe you can help me :O)

thanks in advance,
peter

Here's one idea:
BEFORE you apply your zooming and panning, put the white rectangle on the screen. Then, group the rectangle and the video together.
Now, apply your custom animation to the GROUP instead, and change the scale/position of the group to get your zoom.

Would look something like this:

FWIW, you can also use the "freeze region" effect to make your video have a part of it that just doesn't change, for the length of the effect. That allows you to hide error messages that aren't over fixed-color backgrounds.
