How can I add a "rings" cursor effect to my timeline manually?

Camtasia has several built-in effects for the cursor, but I want to be able to add the rings effect manually when and where needed on the timeline. How would I go about this?

Right-o. I was just hoping there was a way to pull the built-in rings effect into the timeline without having the create something.

when I responded earlier, I assumed you are familiar with the effects available via the cursor effects tab?

Apparently, though, you can only add cursor effects to a camrec recording. I was looking for a way to add/import the rings effect to a blank track to emphasize key points in a narration.

then use the callout approach; make a template one then add to Library as an asset to use over and over as necessary
