How come I can't drag a file from Snagit for Mac into 37Signals Basecamp / GMail / Twitter?

I have to drag the file into Finder and then from Finder into Snagit For Mac.

(Skitch used to do this in just one step, without the Finder involved.)

Thank you for the feedback. As a workaround, you can use the Copy output and then paste into the body of the Gmail message.

Here's a little development background. In order to behave properly with standard drag and drop on the Mac, we do not perform a copy when the drag is initiated. This prevents us from pasting into applications that only accept drops that way. We had to choose between copy when drag is initiated or use the Apple standard method for drag events. One way worked with all the standard Mac applications and the other only worked with Office apps and web apps such as Gmail/Twitter/etc.

Our team chatted this morning and we are going to re-look at this issue in an upcoming release.
