There are several steps for burning a movie onto a DVD playable disk. Take your time to read these steps and follow them one by one.
select your data,
copy ,
and paste on the DVD in DVD writer.

Paul, when you say burn your movie to a DVD are you trying to burn live video footage or what you recorded on your screen from your monitor? For example: A software application, Web Browser, etc.?

Also, which TechSmith Product are you using and what OS do you have? There are a few different ways of going about this and the more information you provide is helpful in getting a better answer. Also, are you just wanting to have viewers view this on a Computer or an actual HDTV or TV Screen? Like I said if possible please give more information of what you are trying to accomplish in the long run and what you are wanting on the DVD and your concerns. Thanks and have a great day.

I understand from another post that ver 8.1.2 addressed this problem, however, I am still in need or a workflow and settings path.

To try and answer Fred's questions on detail as they apply to my specific case:
I'm trying to burn screen recordings.
Camtasia Studio: I am using ver 8.1.2. That's the latest and greatest isn't it?
OS: Win 7 pro. Thinking about upgrading to Win 8 in the near future.
I'd like to enable viewing on computer or TV / HDTV at viewer's option.
I'd also like to include all the noninteractive features available with a Camtasia recording such as TOC, CC, etc....
Please let me know if I am omitting any pertinent info.

Can you point me to or provide any DVD publishing support info?

Also...are you making an interactive Smart Player project with hotspots and stuff?  If your production is just rendering to an mp4 (1080p) produce the project and use any DVD burning program to write the file to disc.

Hi there

Sure, you can burn the files to a DVD. But the thing is, do you want users to play the DVD using a DVD player or do you just want the DVD format because it offers gobs of space?

If you want the users to play the DVD using a DVD player, you will not be able to have the interactivity with the hotspots as it's just a video format same as a typical movie.

Cheers... Rick :)
