How do I delete redundant folders from Stamps catalogue on the Mac?

Hi! How do I delete folders from the Stamps view on a Mac? I downloaded stamps from the site thinking they were new, only to find they are almost all included with SnagIt already. I would love to be able to remove the now-redundant folders, which have ended up in my Custom folder. But dragging to Trash doesn't work, nor does right-clicking in hopes of a menu option to delete. I would think that SnagIt would be able to tell when it already has stamps and prevent the installation of duplicates; that would be a good improvement for future versions. Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks!

Hey Andrew,

I am the UX designer on Snagit for Mac and I have a short video showing you how you can delete those redundant folders: http://www.screencast.com/t/7z8SnzVN6JA

That little X icon is pretty hard to see and something we should definitely take a look at making more visible. Also, your feedback on Snagit being smart enough to detect when there is a duplicate folder being added is very good and another thing we should consider.

Thank you for the feedback and for using Snagit, please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Hi, Andy! Nice to meet you. Thanks for pointing out that almost-entirely-invisible "X" option; I honestly would never have noticed it. So yes, I'd advocate for making that pop up perhaps red and less translucent, or something equally obvious. Glad my suggestion about preventive recognition of redundancy was helpful, and I hope you folks are able to implement it going forward. The two non-redundant folders of icons that I downloaded from the web site seem to have ended up in the Custom folder. It'd be great to be able to drag them onto the main Stamps menu screen with the other folders, to avoid having to click down another layer. But that may just be me. ;-)

Thanks again for your help; I've removed the redundant folders. I've been using SnagIt since it first appeared as Shareware back at the beginning, and it just keeps getting better. Now I'm on a Mac for the first time, and am glad I can use SnagIt on my MacBook as well. I wouldn't want to be without it. If you folks add a few more image editing features (like Sharpen), I'll have even fewer reasons to open Photoshop! ;-)

Regards,
Andrew

Hi there.  I was hopeful that this post might help me but I see it is a few years old. Those delete "x" buttons are not appearing for me on Mac OX 10.10.5 running Snagit 3.3.5. Click here for a video: http://screencast.com/t/MJNAMeTy
