I've finished editing my video and now want to insert an image right at the start. How do I tell Camtasia that I want the image placed at the start of my existing track and not on a new track?

Move the play head to the very beginning and then hold the shift key. Move the playhead to the right and all the media in the timeline will move with it. Move everything far enough to make room for whatever you are going to add. If you make a mistake just use "Ctrl+Z" to Undue. After you insert your image you can drag all the clips back the same way.

This video shows that move at around 2:30 mark of video.
