Snagit 2.0, how do I reduce the padding for the textboxes? There is too much empty space between the edge of the textbox and where the text starts :( The border is already set at "no line", so what gives?

Hello,
I'm sorry, but there is no way to adjust the padding. The only thing I could think of would be to use two callouts--with an empty one serving as the background. I realize that's a very inconvenient workaround.
I'll change this into an idea/feature request so the team can track it and hopefully make improvements down the road.
Sincerely,
Mike Curtis

I was just using snagit 11 for windows and was thinking about the textbox padding adjustment and did a google search. I forgot that it was me that made this suggestion. I just wanted to followup to see if you gave any thought to this idea.
Especially for clear textboxes (no borders/fill), why do you make the default padding so far away from the edge? It should be right on the edge of the border minus a few pixels, and then the user can use "center" to align the text in the center, or just move the text
When I use the specialized callouts like thought bubbles, this padding issue becomes increasingly annoying.

Hello 4evermaat. I would like to help answer this for you but I am not the staff I am another user like you. You might want to contact TechSmith and see what they have to say on this feature request. Or if Mike sees it I am sure he will post something back on it. He is great at usually finding things out and informing the users here along with other Staff Members.
Hopefully we will find something out. Let us know if you do and please re-post what you might find out for other users who might have this same question. Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

This has become far worse in version 12. Look at the absurd amount of spacing around this text box:

@Fred, This is the feedback forum for techsmith. So actual techsmith reps are supposed to be evaluating these are supposed to be implementing the suggestions and fixing bugs that are of merit.
I suppose some people could write into the techsmith support desk separately and reference this link as a complaint to their padding.
