I want to save the same image file at two different resolutions (specified as DPI). Visio lets me do that when I save as PNG. Snagit lets me capture at different DPI settings, but the image files are the same size and same sharpness no matter what I set the DPI to.

Thanks for the great suggestion. This feature will be considered for a future release of Snagit.

We've added a new DPI resolution option to the Resize dialog in Snagit 11:

A free trial of Snagit 11 can be downloaded here:

Thanks for your feedback and let us know if the new option meets your needs.

I need to capture a table from Excel in 300dpi to 600dpi resolution in tif. However, it seems to only save in 92dpi. Please help.

Tim's video shows where to find the dpi setting in Snagit 11. And there's an excellent article in our support area that discusses the effect of changing dpi on image quality.
