In CS8, how do you set the volume level in the video when it plays?

I don't see that setting in the custom production process.

I Think it's a bug. Try to select some part of the track, choose "Audio" and then click "Volume Up" and then "Volume Down", I think this will enable that option.

If you are just trying to set the volume levels when previewing a produced video you would use your computers volume settings if I understood your question correctly. There is no volume level settings in the custom production process when producing the video just in some you have audio bit rates.

If you are wanting to adjust the volume you would have to do that when editing your video before producing the video. You can do that by clicking on the Audio Button above the timeline. If you do not see that then click on the More button and it should be there. Then you can make the audio volume adjustments that you want from there. I hope this helps explain it. Let us know and if not could you be more specific on what you are wanting to do. Thanks for posting and have a great day!

Hi there,

My produced video plays at the highest volume setting by default. You can adjust the volume for the produced video while viewing it, but if our clients are going through a series of these videos, they'd need to turn them down one at a time.

Is there some sort of pre-production setting that can be tweaked that would play video at mid-volume (the volume slider would be in the middle instead of at the top)? I don't want to make the whole video quiet in case a client needs that volume.

Hello.

Using CS8 (currently, v. 8.0.4, 2012/12/21)... The option to set initial volume slider level/positioning in the player is missing in CS8 (but was present in CS7). This feature is important because of the diverse volume conditions users experience on their different machines. (See option comparison image below.)

Please offer some guidance if it does exist in CS8 but in a different location (hadn't found anything so far). Or... if it has been removed... please consider adding it back.

Hello... checking on the status of bringing back the "volume slider" production setting. When will that be happening?
