Hey there,

I assume you are using Jing? And is it safe to assume you used to have Jing Pro when it was available? We have retired Jing pro. Unfortunately, jing free only saves video files in the swf format. Snagit will save in an mp4 format, if that's necessary for your workflow.

You can check out more about the Jing Pro retirement here: http://www.techsmith.com/jing-pro-ret...

So what product do we import or convert those Jing .swf files to .mp4's as we have lot's of recordings to convert. I tried converting in Snag It and importing in Camtasia. Neither works!

I couldn't really file>open or file>import in Captivate version 5 however I was able to drop an .swf file into Captivate 5 then export or publish however there was some loss of video and sound. Here's a troubleshooting page at least for Captivate if you want to try that route: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/edit-import-swf-file-flash.html
