I have an avi video embedded in an html file. How can I prevent it to autostart in the html and chm output?

Please see the detailed description below:

I am using Camtasia 7.1.0
Framemaker 10
Webworks 2012

The .avi file I embedded in FrameMaker works when I generate the file with WebWorks Publisher. What I need to know is if there is any way to turn off the autostart feature (the default) in Camtasia. I would like our clients to be able to start the video when they want to watch it and not have the video automatically start when they open the help topic

Please help. Thanks

Hi Shobha,

Where do you have your avi hosted? Several ways to do it:
1) Put this avi on timeline in CS and produce it using this path "Custom production settings->MP4/Flash outputs->Flash Options->Controls->select Pause at start". You then unload the video and companion files to the web server, it should work for you.
2) Put this avi to timeline in CS and produce it using this path "Screencast.com->(login)->Screencast.com options...->Select Pause at start"->Upload to sc.com to view it from there.
3) Use the avi directly and you have to script the html and JavaScript (or any other script that the server supports) by yourself to make it work. Many web hosting servers may provide admin control pannel for you to do this, but you have to figure out there.

Hope this helps.

4) If avi is your preferred format, use this path: produce the timeline in CS using "Custom production settings->AVI->(Next, Next, Next)->Check Embed video into HTML->HTML opions->Uncheck Start video playing->Produce and upload the avi with companion files to the web hosting service of your choice."
