HTML5 encoding

I'm reluctant to ask for any new feature as it will only slow down the next release if adopted.

I would like to see a choice on the publish menu to encode my video to the 4 standard formats used for a website. This would save me time in taking the MP4 and re-encoding it in a separate program. The choice would create 4 versions for use. I don't want 4 extra choices on the menu. You could use a checkbox list if you wanted to select which formats a person would want. When it encodes they are placed in the output folder.

I sincerely hope that your gamble for Mac users pays off. Making your loyal PC users wait for a cross platform product seems unwise to me.

Hi David!

Thankyou for submitting your idea for Camtasia! While I cannot say with certaintythat your idea will make it into Camtasia any time soon, I can say that when Ibrought it before the Product Team this month, they were quite interested. Thisis not to say we will add the feature, but it is not turning it down either; Iwould liken it to your post started getting the wheels turning on how, or if, itcan fit best into TechSmith’s vision for Camtasia.

So fornow stay tuned as we may revisit this very thread and continue thisconversation as development on Camtasia continues.
