I am having smart videos stall out and stop when playing in Google Chrome. It plays in IE. Is there a fix for this?

Smart Videos? Do you mean video produced with the smart player?
Are you playing them directly from your hard drive or are they uploaded and
being played back from the web?

I am producing videos with the smart player since I have hot spots.  We are loading them to sharepoint (along with all of their parts).  When I play in IE (our default player where I work), it works fine.  When I try to play in Google Chrome, it stops and display disappears after a couple of minutes.  We cannot click play or move the timeline.

Have you also tried in Firefox? If you have a link I'd be glad to test on my end in various browsers.

It could possible be just a chrome thing. Have seen chrome be a little bugger with videos before.

I assume the output is in the mp4 format?

I don't think you can get inside our firewall.  https://collab.mayo.edu/team/Clarity/Test%20Education%20Library/General%20Navigation.html

I thought for hot spots to work, I needed to use the html version?  In all of your help information, chrome is supposed to be the recommended browser.

Nope can not access that link. Yes the smart player produces html pages and other script page along with (usually) the video as a mp4.

Techsmith (I'm not a employee) may recommend Chrome but doesn't mean it will always behave.

If you can I would try some other browsers or even chrome on some other machines.
If it works on another machine in Chrome than it may be your machines Chrome browser.

Can you player other videos in Chrome?
