i am running OS sierra 10.12.4 Beta (16E144F) with snagit 4.1.0 and the capture option is not working, how do i fix this?

Hi Anton,

We aren't seeing any issues with taking captures with Snagit 4.1.0 on Sierra 10.12.4 Beta. Could you be more specific as to what the issue is? Are you using red button or hotkeys, image or video, etc.

I am trying to use the keyboard shortcuts not working. Also trying the menu option to start capture. Not working. Also tried using the red button in app. Also not working.

I would try restarting your machine and see if that helps. If not, you can get in touch with our tech support team.

I've got the same problem and multiple restarts of Sierra 10.12.4 Beta does not fix the problem.

I cannot get to the Capture window from a restart.  

When I start Snagit, it opens the most recent capture (From last Saturday) in edit mode and does not allow the Capture window to open at all.  Command keys do nothing.

Hi,

It sounds like the capture helper might be crashing on launch. Here are a few things you could try:

1 - Disable "Send anonymous usage information" in the editor preferences
2 - Update to our latest version, 4.1.2
3 - Check the macOS console app (User Reports folder) for any crash logs for SnagitHelper. If you find any, please open a ticket with our Tech Support team so we can look into what's going on.

I'm also on Sierra 10.12.4 and my Snagit capture has stopped working. I just bought the new version of Snagit today - same problem. please help

Hi Rod;

After purchasing and installing Snagit 4 (since no older versions of Snagit are supported on Mac OS X Sierra) you will need to reboot the Mac (please see here for information on this issue). After rebooting, launch Snagit 4; does the Snagit capture method work? If not, please open a support ticket so an agent can look into the issue.
