I bought full version of Camtasia. It fails to render longer videos.

I just recorded my computer screen for 1 hour. I tried to render the video into mp4.

The render went to 100%, but when I open the mp4 file I got this error - 0x80070002

This is the 10x this happens when I try to render a longer video.

I paid around $250 for Camtasia and it is not working for me.

I would like this problem to be resolved.

Kind regards,

I've seen error 0x8007002 in a virtual environment with networked drives. What's your computer's spec?

It sounds to me like you need to contact TechSmith Support.

I just rendered 10 minutes of the video only and it succeeded.

What is the problem with rendering longer videos?

what version of Camtasia?

I work with large, complex, long duration projects all the time, and do not have the issue you describe

specific details about your project would be helpful; maybe a screencast of the project in the editor, with explanations, hosted on free screencast.com?

if using a current version, contact free tech support

When you're rendering, do you open other application(s)?  Before rendering a long - 1 hour - video,  open task manager and note what apps are using what resources.  Opening many pages on one or more browsers can challenge your system as can anti-virus and anti malware software.

Task manager itself takes very little resource wise  and can be very informative.  Actually if you are not online, why not turn off A/V and A/M and see what happens. Remember to reboot to turn them back on.

I also put the video speed at 7x making the video length from roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes to 10 minutes and it rendenred it just fine.

Seems like the problem is with rendering longer videos

Have you tried a different  Hardware Acceleration Mode?
I tried to Attached a GIF but I got  an error. Go figure.
Under Edit select Preference at the bottom.
Select the Advanced Tab.
Select Arrow next to box under Hardware Acceleration.
Select software-only mode ( or other options if that does not help.)
Render Project .

Is your project on the C-Drive or a network drive?
