It isn't clear what you are saying here. Are you saying that the PowerPoint add in is simply not there if you install version 9?

I know the add in helps with a few things, but essentially it does the same thing as what you would get by simply playing the PPT and using the Camtasia Recorder to simply record the screen as you play through the PPT.

Cheers... Rick :)

I had previously Camtasia 9.1. I installed Camtasia 2018 for a trial and after trial was finished I uninstall it and run Camtasia 9.1 . There is no way to go back and use power point add in as it looks for Camtasia 2018. I reinstall Microsoft office but still without success. It was very easy to work with controls in the power point and I am would like to have it again

Have you tried looking for it in the Options Section of PowerPoint ? Not sure which version of PowerPoint you are running as you did not say.

In PowerPoint try this:

1. Goto File>Options and when that screen popups Click on the "Add-ins" and it should show what Add-ins are installed in PowerPoint. If Possible take a screenshot and post it back here so we can see what you are seeing.

2. At the bottom of that screen click on the "Go" Button and another screen will popup that will allow you to use the "Add"button on the right side of the screen. Then you should be able to click on that and locate the correct CamtasiaOfficeAddin.dll file for Version 9 of Camtasia Studio.

I have put an image below that I hope helps you with this. If not feel free to post any questions back here. Just click on the Image to make it bigger.

Thanks for posting and I hope this helps you. Have a great day/night.

Go to your Control Panel >> Programs and features

and then Right-Click on Camtasia 9 then Change

In the next window click Modify

The next window make sure to checkmark the PowerPoint add-in option.

Click Modify.

That should install the Camtasia add-in to PowerPoint.

**You must have PowerPoint installed first.

If that Does not take care of it go through the process again but click Repair instead of Modify.

You may have some missing or corrupt files.

Not sure what you mean here. Are you running both PowerPoint 2010 and PowerPoint 2016 on the same computer ? If so, I think it will only install the Add-in to one Version or the other and not both. I only run PowerPoint 2016 on Windows so I cannot say for sure but this is my educated guess on what is happening. Let us know and thanks for posting back. Have a great day/night. Also, have a Merry Christmas.

Thanks and have a Merry Christmas.

Is your PowerPoint 2016 installed locally? A desktop application or are you using it online?

Maybe these articles will help.
