I hate you and your software.

Your software is the most unreliable thing I've ever used. I've lost more work with your horrible software than to any other problem.

You may not care at all, but you are causing untold amounts of pain and anguish to untold amounts of people.

Perhaps you have already tried to get support and this led to your cryptic statement but I'm using the latest Camtasia on three Macs with absolutely no problem. And my projects have at least 15 tracks full of effects, groups, and wide variety of media sources.

Precisely the reliability problem lol.....EXACTLY the problem....the last version prior to 2018 had the same reliability problems with saved work getting lost.....with the message coming up when you open a document, telling you changes were made and not saved...after you had saved.....

in fact, Camtasia 2018 just sat there and refused to save my project a few minutes ago, no matter what I did. Just said, "no, I can't save it."

Rolllllll backkkkkk and loseeeee woooork.

Also, you know what's rude? Selling a software that results in customers losing work, and then being all defensive about it afterward.

Enormous double standard with developers and their customers lol....but nah whatev man, let's all hold hands and deny problems exist.

Kumbaya.

Hi Cameron;

I am sorry to hear that you've had a poor experience with Camtasia, it is definitely not the expected outcome when using our software. I looked through our ticket system and haven't found any submitted tickets under the email account you used to make this post, so I was wondering if you opened a ticket, and if you did if you had that ticket on hand so I can look up any solutions that our support team provided you?

One thing to note is that we have seen this behavior when users are storing the project and/or source files on a network drive, external hard drive, or in a synchronized folder (like OneDrive, Box, etc.). Are you storing any of your content there? We have also seen cases where overly-aggressive antivirus / antimalware applications will cause this behavior; in those cases we recommend whitelisting Camtasia in the software to see if that helps reduce the issue.

Nice, Cameron. I have always found TechSmith to be the best at true technical support. We can all understand when a customer is seeing nothing but trouble. But a customer owes it to give any supplier details. I commented above and have enjoyed pushing Camtasia for the limits. I also use a fast external drive since I work at home/office and on the road. I don't use a flash card (like SD) since those are prone to failure.
