I have a Project wherein I imported an MP4 file in Camtasia. That MP4 file has callouts, is there a way to remove them in Camtasia?

I am new to Camtasia. I have a Project wherein I imported an MP4 file in Camtasia. That MP4 file has callouts but I want to remove them in my final output.  Is there a way to remove them in Camtasia? The callouts are no longer in my track, only the MP4 file

those callouts are "burned in" the MP4; they cannot be removed from that clip

however, you might be able to cover over them depending on where they occur and the action in the clip; if those scenes are static, you should be able to fix them

generally, easiest way to cover them is to use a saved frame of the scene where the callout is absent, then use the saved frame to patch over the callout [using cropping]

Think of the MP4 file you imported as your starting point that can't really be altered. Like kayakman said, you could try covering up the callouts with other things... like perhaps callouts of your own to replace them. Another idea is... if the callouts are close enough to the edge of the video, you could zoom in so that the original callouts are off-screen. This might work if your callouts are like captions at the top or bottom of the screen.
