I have a typo in my verification email, and now I can't verify my account.

I messed up the email that I typed for verification of my account.  I have my correct one for the account itself, so it won't let me create a new account with that email.  All I can do is click "Resend" on the verification, but I'll never get it because the email is wrong.  What can I do?

Hi Nathanial,

I need a little more information to help. How did you trigger the verification? Did you try to add a secondary email address, and that's the one with the typo?

They sent me an email to the correct address, that is a link to click on to create an account:

"Welcome to TechSmith Support. In order for your ticket to be responded to by a support agent, you must click the link below to create a password and login. "

I've created the password and login, so when I click on the link, it takes me to the option to continue or to resend the email.  I can even see the email that's there, and it's wrong.  I just don't see an option to fix it.

The email that is wrong is only for the verification, so I can't access my account to add a secondary address, or correct this one.  They have the correct email attached to the account, so I can't use it for a new account, but the wrong email for sending the verification, so I can't access the account I created.

Hi Nathaniel,

I think we found your accounts. Here's what I recommend...

Go to signin.techsmith.com and Sign Out.

Go to support.techsmith.com and Sign Out there too (you might already be signed out).

Then go back to signin.techsmith.com and create an account with the correct email address.

Activate the account with the email link.

Log into support.techsmith.com using that account and see if your ticket shows up. If it doesn't, just submit the ticket again (sorry, I know this stinks).

If you are able to, you can sign out again at signin.techsmith.com, sign in with the "Bad" email address, click on "Settings' scroll down and "delete my account" to get rid of the bad one. It won't hurt us at all if you leave the bad account there, but I thought you'd might want to clean it up.

Thanks.  With the link you sent, I was able to delete my account. That frees up my email to be used in a new account, and I can be more careful when it asks for the verification email.
