I've found that PNG's with text placed on a transparent background.Or a solid colored, gradient, or even a patterned background.
Like one you could created in a program like Photoshop.
Scroll much smoother than callouts.

I never understood why callouts scroll with so many jitters?

I expect the newer 60fps versions of Camtasia are improved but I've never tried it.
Pages shouldn't exceed 4096 pixels in height. As thats the maximum working canvas height.
If you exceed it, Camtasia will start re-scaling the text and degradation will begin.

Create as many pages as required.
Create the pages at the same width as your project. That way its easy to center text and envision the end result.

In Camtasia.
String them together top to bottom in the proper order. Grouping them, so they become a singular object.

You can start by grouping  2 or 3 , moving them below or towards the bottom of the canvas area.
Add additional page or pages "Whatever works for you", group again.
Rinse and repeat until done.

Now your ready to animate.

With the group properly positioned where the animation would begin.

Add a custom animation to the very end of of the Group.
Drag the group upward through the canvas area. "If that's the direction of the animation"

Drag the left side tail of the animation backward through the group. To the starting point of the group.
That should complete the animation.
