I just upgraded to Snagit 13 from Snagit 11. How can I eliminate the outline or make it transparent?

I use snagit to propose changes to existing screenshots from software.  I don't want an outline because it makes it difficult to put the text into a background that already has a border.

Is there a way to turn off the outline feature with the text?

It's the text outline I want to eliminate.

It would be helpful if you could share a screen capture depicting exactly where this outline you are seeing is.

Here is an example.

I want to put the text '1,000' into an image.  There is a 'white' outline around the text.  I can change the color but I can't make it transparent or eliminate it.

If you are using the Callout tool, make sure the fill is transparent.

I am not using a call out.  This is text I am placing on the image.  The fill for the text is the text color which needs to be black. See my next screenshot.

This is a new tool for SnagIt 13. I only use this tool if I am creating a meme. I find I have more predictable and better results using the Callout tool for something like this. There are callouts there with no outline and that allow you to control the background, which seems to be giving you the grief in this case.

Cheers... Rick :)

Okay,  I just tried your suggestion and it worked for me.  Thanks for helping out with this.

Hello,
As another alternative, you can just move the Line Width slider to 0. That will remove the meme outline for you.

In the first name text, I have the outline set to red. In the second name text I still have the outline set to red, but I have removed it by sliding the Line Width to zero.

Haha! I was actually wondering about these memes you create!
