I need to draw a thin box with a colour fill that fades from full colour at one end to 50% luminosity at the other.

Is that possible in Snagit 13 please?  If so, how?

You can do it if you want to spend the time

Easier to create it in like gimp or something like that. Or even Powerpoint if you have that.

If you want to give it go,  ya know, just for the heck of it...

It consist of stacking shape layers of varying fill opacity (no outline) and putting a blur over the transitions.

Start with full opacity of your color.

Copy and paste that shape and put on top of the previous layer and make it the length you want and set the opacity to 50%

Copy and paste that shape and put on top of the previous layer at set opacity to 40%
and shorten slightly.

Repeat layering than put a blur on top to finish.

Here's the levels I put together.

The more you want to fuse with it the better you can make the effect.

Only way I know of to do it in Snagit.

It definitely would be awesome if they gave us gradient fill

:)

Nice!

Thank you.  Now, let's see if I can reclassify this thread as an Idea ...
