I saw a post one time that suggested that extracting the contents of a .trec file could recover missing audio.
What you would need to do is extract the contents to a folder. "Location of your choosing" And import the extracted video into Camtasia.Theres a downside. You will lose cursor effects. But the video and audio is unchanged in quality.
If it works I like to know and so would others, so if you could post back with the results. It would be appreciated.

Regards,Joe

with your recorded video clip in the Camtasia editor's media bin, right click that clip and choose "extract recording contents"; you will get a bunch of separate files, among then the clip's audio

did you record system audio, or only mic audio?

OK; the reason I asked is that if you had recordered both mic and system audio, you would have 2 audio files in the extracted files

please try to extract and let us know if the audio files check out OK when placed in a Camtasia project
