I rolled back to v8.x due to the complexity added in v9.x

I uninstalled v9 and got a refund. I'll stick with version 8.x until a version comes out that restores the simplicity that is in v8 as compared to v9.

For me, my biggest problem is the Marker changes. I use markers extensively and to make it take longer with a lot more hand movements rather than an even shorter process to create and name a marker, is beyond my understanding. That's not (IMHO) best practices in software development.

The very nice customer support lady said that even if there are other posts describing the same thing, I should post another one just in case their teams look at posts more than the "Me too" counts on each.

My sentiments and many of my complaints are echo'd here by this user (among others):

I still love Camtasia Studio, just not the initial version 9 changes.

Thanks.

Yeah... Camtasia had done pretty well by me in past releases so I broke my own rule and upgraded (albeit I kept V8 running just in case)...  Usually I just stay one release behind and life is good... I think I also will stick with 8 for 6 to 12 months  and then revisit 9 when all the sanding and polishing is done.
