Currently when you capture an image that is a smaller portion of the screen the resolution became blurry when you enlarge the image. To prevent this I have been using a tool called ZoomIt that allows me to zoom in on the screen and then I would use SnagIt to capture the screen and then the image is much more clear when I past it to my elearning file. It is really helpful when I am taking pictures of buttons in a software program. It would allow me to zoom in while taking a picture of the button hovered over, but with the mouse icon gone. I would use those images to mimic using the actual program on an elearning project. Without the zoomed in capture the buttons where always blurry. This worked great for me for awhile, however, it stopped working a little over a week ago. The windows zoom tool doesn't work quite the same which I have been using as a workaround lately.
So what I would suggest is that Snagit adds a screen zoom tool that will allow me to do the same thing as I did with ZoomIt. This was I don't have to use two different tools to accomplish the same thing. This zoom tool should also function like some of the other profiles in that the mouse will disappear but the item you are hovering over/clicking on doesn't change.
Not having the ability I had previously has been really frustrating. I have been emailing Nate a Senior Support Specialist on trying to fix whatever caused the change. He has been incredibly helpful, however, nothing suggested fixed the problem. I suggested to him that you guys should add this feature and he suggested that I add it here too.
