In previous versions of Snagit, I was able to add my own stamps and put them in folders that were categorized, and were accessible through snagit tools. Now, with a new version, I don't know where the stamp folder is located so that I may add my own customized stamps. I don't want to just add them to the "custom" folder, they are not organized that way.

Hi,
You can find custom stamps at ~/Library/Group Containers/7TQL462TU8.com.techsmith.snagit/Stamps/Custom. Any folders you add here will appear next time you open the stamp tool.

I cannot find where this folder is on my Mac.
~/Library/Application Support/TechSmith/Snagit/Stamps.localized/Custom.localized
I found this path, but it is empty, even after I import a stamp.
~/Library/Application Support/TechSmith/Snagit Previous Version 2018/Snagit 2018/Stamps.localized/Custom.localized

Why hide it so deep??? Why not make it user friendly instead of confusing YOUR CUSTOMERS????

Hi,
Ideally users shouldn't have to mess with this folder at all, but we haven't implemented adding custom folders to stamps, so this is a temporary workaround. As for why it's where it is, this Group Containers location is necessary for App Store sandboxing.

You used to have such a folder in previous versions, and now you took it away and you say "users shouldn't have to mess with this folder". I disagree, we are now forced to use Snagit custom stamps and if we want to use our own as we did in past versions, its very difficult to access that folder. its a shame that you got us used to using our own folder and then took it away and now say we shouldn't have to use it. That is not a very customer friendly attitude!!! Bring back the custom folder or make it easy for us to create our own, but stop changing your versions to a point that we can't find things. The custom folder is not the only thing that is hard to find.
Very disappointed in your changes and your commitment to those changes which are not really customer friendly as they once used to be. You have moved from the "KISS" formula (Keep It Simple Stupid) to a more and more difficult formula. Also, making it harder is that every time you made changes, you keep moving things around and not leaving things in the same place, thus making it more difficult for the user to reorient themselves to the new version.
Stop changing things, and look at Photoshop which has kept their tools pretty much the same for many many years and still were able to upgrade their product. Learn from a successful company instead of practicing on your paying customers!

Hi,
I appreciate your feedback. As far as I know, the ability to organize your stamps from within Snagit has always been a windows-only feature. It is something we have on our radar for Mac, but haven't gotten to yet. As for moving folders around, we had to do it to be accepted into Apple's App Store, so hopefully now we won't have to move it again.

If the Stamps folder is not there, then I think the easiest thing to do would be click the Import Stamps button in Snagit and import some image (you can delete it later) so that the Stamps folder gets created.

Rick - You're correct that the Mac version does not have a way to do that. Seems like we should! I'll let the team know there's a need for this.
