Hello cheyenne,

Thank you for sharing your request with us! We're always looking for ways to improve our products and to gauge which features should be shared across Camtasia Studio and Camtasia:Mac, so your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Have a great day!

Camtasia for Mac has color adjustment. You will find it under Video FX.

Just add the Color Adjustment Effect to a video, and you will get the options to adjust brightness, contrast and saturation.

The default values were chosen to make it obvious that something happens.  You will want to set the saturation to 0 if you do not want to modify the colors.

Hey Stephen
I understand the theory behind changing the values. But the default values should be Zero. Most videos need little to no adjustment. Throwing the settings off the charts is creating more work for the user. And apparently, confusion as well.
I've used a lot of video editing software over the years. I've never used an editor that intentionally screws up the settings of a video when applying a filter. If you're reaching for the filter you probably already know what it's used for. If Camtasia 8 behaved this way I would not be happy about it.
Just my 2 cents on the issue.
Regards, Joe

Hi there!

We want to thank you for your patience while we worked to make adjusting your colors possible.  We are pleased to announce that we have just released our newest, most powerful version of Camtasia yet. This Camtasia release has a new visual effect for Color Adjustment.

Unfortunately, Camtasia Windows still doesn't share all of the Video Effects that Camtasia Mac has, but we are striving to bring them more in line with each other. Hopefully you will agree if you checkout Camtasia 9 for Windows and Camtasia 3 for Mac.

You can buy Camtasia here or download the trial here.

Please feel free to post your feedback and feature requests here in our Community forums and remember, all technical support-related inquiries should be directed to our dedicated Technical Support team at https://support.techsmith.com/

Thanks again!

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea/feature request!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the first, where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!
