I'm getting "An I/O error occurred while installing a file..." when I try to install CamStudio 8 on a restored system - installing to the SSD.

I got past the point of inserting the Key, it seemed to be going fine... and then the error message. I retried 2-3x more, and then Aborted. Side Note: The additional tries did not require me to enter the Key.

I can take the same program disk and install it in another desktop computer and the install goes fine. I can't use it there because the resources can't handle it - I was just testing the disk.

There isn't anything showing up in Add/Remove programs - nothing to remove.
I installed another program after this issue with no problems.

Any suggestions?

Problem resolved! Must have been a little glitch somewhere.

SOLUTION: Reboot the system - insert disc - installed completely.

Remaining issue: "We're having trouble contacting our servers, but you may still use Camtasia Studio while we attempt to validate your key."

The "We're having trouble contacting our servers" message is a known issue on the server side. You can ignore this error. It should not affect your ability to use the software.
