I made a power point recording with Camtasia and uploaded it to Screencast. When I viewed the recording I noticed that I accidentially had the camera on! Is there a way to remove that? I do NOT want to have to re-record that lesson if I can help it!

What version of Camtasia were you using? Camtasia Studio on Windows? Version 8?
We should be able to get this worked out pretty easily if you still have the original recording. You'll have to re-produce it, but you shouldn't have to re-record.

Hi Josh, I have Camtasia 8.0 that I am using on Windows 8.
I do have the original recording that I did through power point.
I uploaded it to Camtasia then produced it to Screencast.
It's perfect EXCEPT that I had my camera on and want to remove
the visual of me on the lesson screen.

Sure, totally possible. Basically, you need to get the Camtasia Studio editor open and delete the webcam track. Here's a quick video to show you how:

Let me know if that works!

Thanks Josh! I will give that a shot and let you know how it goes. That's so great! This lesson took 70 minutes to record and I don't think I have any voice left to re-record it!

OK, I have another issue. I thinkk I may need to re-install Camtasia to my computer which reverted back to factory settings about a month ago. I seem to have only recorded this with an add on from Power Point and not through my Camtasia, which I was unaware of. Will doing this be ok with the recordings that I have already done? For instance will the recordings trasnfer into my reinstalled Camtasia? I'm kind of worried!

Yes, you can uninstall/reinstall Camtasia Studio and this will not affect any of your recordings.
